Walking

Strathyre itself is a great starting point for many walks of all abilities.  We have Ben Sheann, a short but steep pathed walk to the submit, you then decide how far you wish to go thereafter.

The Rob Roy way passes behind the pods and we are a great stop off if doing the 5 -7 day walk -www.robroyway.com.

The hills behind the pods are under forestry commission and are accessible by following the forestry road or the hidden paths located about the hills.  The road will reach the mast at the top, however there is then the option to go over the hill into Glen Ample,  from here you will have access to 2 munros - Stuc a' Chroin (975m) and Ben Vorlich (985m) and also the corbett Ben Each (813).

Route 7 cycle path is also for walking and  is from sunderland to Inverness.  From Strathyre you can walk along it into Callander (9 miles) or head north to Kings house where Mhor 84 is situated (2 miles) or continue on towards lochearnhead, Killin and eventually Inverness.

We have too many walks and hills to name.  A good resource is the national parks website - https://www.lochlomond-trossachs.org/things-to-do/walking.
